ABOUT LAURIE GRAY -
Laurie Gray has taken a diverse artistic journey which has included painting, photography, and pottery. Eight years ago, she found her medium, fiber art. She focuses on wearable art, namely naturally dyed, eco-printed silk and handmade felted pieces. She uses natural material to create stunning fashions. Whether she is using plants from our temperate rainforest to create unique eco-print silk scarves or the highest quality merino wool and silk to make one-of-a-kind nuno felt pieces, Laurie’s work inspires and feeds the soul.
Laurie recently moved to Surrey, B.C., after living in Port Edward on B.C.’s north coast for seventeen years. Laurie is a founding member of the North Coast Artists’ Cooperative in Prince Rupert and the past president of the Prince Rupert Arts Council. She has been actively involved in the arts community for the last eighteen years. Her pieces can be found in collections across North America and around the world.
